No-Bake Peanut Butter Bars.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Chill Time: 2 hours

Total Time: 2 hours 15 minutes

Difficulty: Easy

Servings: 16 bars

Ingredients

For the Peanut Butter Layer:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For the Chocolate Topping:

  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pan

Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving extra paper hanging over the sides. This makes it easy to lift the bars out after chilling.

Step 2: Make the Peanut Butter Base

In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, creamy peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until smooth.

Gradually add the powdered sugar and graham cracker crumbs. Mix until a thick, well-combined dough forms. The mixture should hold together when pressed.

Step 3: Press into the Pan

Transfer the peanut butter mixture into the prepared baking pan. Press it firmly into an even layer using the back of a spoon or the bottom of a measuring cup.

Step 4: Prepare the Chocolate Layer

Place the chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl.

Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Step 5: Spread the Chocolate

Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer. Use an offset spatula or spoon to spread it evenly across the surface.

Step 6: Chill

Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate has completely hardened and the bars are firm.

Step 7: Slice and Serve

Lift the bars out using the parchment paper. Allow them to sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before slicing into 16 squares using a sharp knife.

Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Tips for Success

  • Use regular creamy peanut butter for the best texture.
  • Press the base firmly to prevent the bars from crumbling.
  • Let the chocolate cool slightly before slicing to avoid cracking.
  • Wipe the knife clean between cuts for neat, professional-looking bars.
  • Chill completely before serving for the cleanest slices.

Variations

  • Add chopped roasted peanuts for extra crunch.
  • Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the chocolate before chilling.
  • Use dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
  • Stir mini chocolate chips into the peanut butter layer.
  • Add colorful sprinkles for holidays or birthdays.

Storage

Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

For longer storage, freeze them for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
