Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 4 cups water
- 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2–3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
- 1 cup ice cubes
Optional Garnishes
- Fresh blueberries
- Lemon slices
- Fresh lavender sprigs
- Mint leaves
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Lavender Infusion
In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Remove from the heat and stir in the dried culinary lavender. Let the mixture steep for about 10 minutes to extract the floral flavor without making it bitter.
Step 2: Strain the Infusion
Pour the lavender tea through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher, discarding the lavender buds. Allow the infusion to cool slightly.
Step 3: Blend the Blueberries
Add the blueberries, remaining 2 cups of cold water, lemon juice, honey, and optional lemon zest to a blender. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth.
Step 4: Combine
Pour the blueberry mixture into the cooled lavender infusion and stir well until evenly combined.
Step 5: Strain (Optional)
For a smoother juice, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean pitcher. If you enjoy more fiber, skip this step.
Step 6: Chill
Refrigerate the juice for at least 15 minutes until thoroughly chilled.
Step 7: Serve
Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour in the chilled Lavender Blueberry Juice. Garnish with fresh blueberries, lemon slices, mint leaves, or a sprig of culinary lavender for an elegant presentation.

Tips for Success
- Use only food-grade culinary lavender, as ornamental lavender may not be suitable for cooking.
- Do not over-steep the lavender, as it can develop a bitter taste.
- Taste the juice before serving and adjust the sweetness if needed.
- Chill the juice thoroughly for the freshest flavor.
- Add sparkling water just before serving for a lightly fizzy variation.
- Freeze blueberries beforehand to make the drink extra cold without diluting it.
- Blend with a few fresh mint leaves for a cooling herbal twist.
Storage
Store the juice in a sealed glass pitcher or bottle in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir or shake before serving because natural separation may occur.
This beverage is best enjoyed fresh and is not recommended for long-term freezing.
Recipe Variations
